Vlad Denic
Vlad is the DGS for the MCO Graduate Program. He hails from the formerly great (?) country of Yugoslavia by way of Iraq (he had to leave due to desert storm, not a desert storm but the Operation Desert Storm), then a brief college stint in New Zealand (where his only grad school options required using sheep as a model organism), followed by a prolonged stint in the Bay Area (when you were still more likely to run into a Grateful Dead head than an Ungrateful TED head), and with a peripath...perpatetic endpoint in Boston, which his family (wife, two kids) seems to love (despite the family's procession of surprisingly short-lived Birman cats over the years). Outside of DGS work, Vlad enjoys avoiding his children (on family-sanctioned date nights of course), seeing his old friends at music festivals (at least the Other Ones that are still "alive"), and aliquoting small amounts of liquid from one tube to another.
